High School DTX (Discipleship Training Xperience)
Life is crazy busy and we can all get worn out pretty easily. We could all use special times where we come together and let the Holy Spirit refuel us through God’s life changing Word so we may be all that He created us to be. That is exactly what High School DTX is here for. We typically meet on the first and third Wednesday evenings of each month at church at 7:00 PM.
High School DTX Spring Study: Can I Ask That?
Ever had a question about God that you were scared to ask?
Ever felt like your hard questions get squashed, silenced, or brushed aside?
First, other teenagers and adults ask these kinds of questions all the time. Second, it’s not only okay to ask hard questions, but it’s actually important—some say essential—for your faith journey. And finally, God can handle it. God isn’t anxious about your questions, struggles, or doubt. We don’t think you should be either. Even if some adults around you aren’t sure what to do with those questions.
If you’re tired of vague, superficial, or nonexistent answers to your tough questions about God, the Bible, and Christianity, this Spring series is for you. This spring we are going to be going through a study called Can I ask That? We will discuss real question like:
- Is it wrong to doubt God?
- Is hell real? How could God send someone there?
- Can I do something so bad God won’t forgive me?
- Why do bad things happen to good people?
- Is sex outside marriage wrong?
- Why is it so awkward to talk about Jesus with my friends?
Whether you’ve never asked these questions before or you’ve been aching for the chance, this guide is meant to be a starting point for each conversation.
Ready? Go ahead. You can ask that.
We encourage every student to get a copy of Can I Ask That, so he or she can work through the questions at home and come to DTX ready to ask real and honest questions. The books will be available at DTX, on Sunday morning, or on our website for $10. (If you are unable to buy the book, please let us know and we will still get you one).
