What is “The Garden”?
The Garden is a community for young adults that is designed to be a safe place for people of all beliefs, backgrounds, and world-views.
This group is designed to be a place where young adults will come and grow together. It is a safe place that brings an atmosphere of trust and community. We believe that Christ set a perfect example for how we are supposed to live our lives aligned with Him. One example comes from Matthew 26:38-42. Jesus, in a moment of extreme distress, goes to His Father and cries for help. We can follow his example and bring all of our struggles to Him.
Our name is a reminder that even Jesus, our Savior, had moments of breaking down and crying out. Even Jesus needed the love and strength of His father. “The Garden” shows us that we can cry out to God as Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane.
The Garden is a safe place to cry out and realize we are crying to a God who is bigger than this world. The Garden is place where people can be built up and grow, not only with each other, but with our heavenly Father. The Garden is a place that focuses on the Bible and the unconditional love of Jesus. The Garden is a place where everyone can grow in their understanding of who God is and that he has designed us to radically spread the love of Jesus Christ to all.
Join us for any of our gatherings, Bible studies, retreats, Worship times or fun events. The Garden meets on Tuesday nights at 7:00 PM at Water’s Edge.
We will not be meeting on the following dates:
- November 24
- December 15 & 22
Please contact Matt Schaefer at 214-842-7050 to be included in our text alerts or call with any questions or if you just need someone to talk to.

Be challenged, built up and encouraged and watch God work in you and through you with the people you meet.
