TK Groups
As Christians we are called to be missionaries of Jesus. Living out this calling is exciting, but it is not always easy. We often think it will take a lot of time and add a bunch of things to our already packed schedules. We often try to go at it alone for a little while then become discouraged and give up. That is why at Water’s Edge we have formed TK Groups. TK stands for “Tangible Kingdom.” These groups meet for 8-10 weeks and utilize the Tangible Kingdom Primer, which is a short, but extremely useful, practical guide on how to develop the habits and life rhythms we need to have to live as missionaries. It not only help us talk about how to do these things it gives us weekly challenges to practice what we are learning.
Jesus never sent his disciples out on mission alone. We were created to live, serve, and learn in community. That is why we have formed the “TK Groups.” They are intentional and intimate groups where people can come together often to encourage and hold each other accountable to the mission God has called them to. Through this process God will stretch and grow you in ways you have never imagined. By the power of the Holy Spirit you will start to see the world around you through a new missional lens and have the relationships and tools to help you be the missionary God created you to be. In short, “TK Groups” don’t add mission to your busy schedule; instead, these groups will help you see all of your life, work, play, and family time as an opportunity to join God’s mission.
Registration is closed for our current TK Group. If you are interested in joining a TK Group later this year, please let us know, and we will look into the possibility of creating a second group to fit your schedule. For more information or if you have any questions, please contact Pastor Will with any questions.
